Love Food Hate Waste grants program

The NSW EPA has released its fourth round of Love Food Hate Waste grants (LFHW) under the $465.7 million NSW Government Waste Less Recycle More initiative (WLRM).

The new grants provide a one off opportunity to deliver behaviour change projects that help households and businesses reduce the amount of edible food they waste. The new grant funding is summarised below:

Grant Eligible Applicants Project Requirements Funding Per Applicant Closing Date
Love Food Hate Waste Community groups, councils, groups of councils, NGOs and not for profit organisations. Focus on one of the following target group: young consumers, high income households, families with young children and/or small to medium enterprises in the food sector.

Target at least one of the following behavioural changes: meal planning, shopping to a list, checking stock, buying only the food you need, checking use-by and best-before dates, storing food correctly, measuring serving sizes and using leftovers.

Up to $70,000 in matched funding (cash or in-kind) Tuesday 14 June 2016
