MRA Consulting Group is pleased to announce that it has established a West Australian office, headed up by industry veteran Adam Johnson.
Adam Johnson has worked in the waste sector for almost 20 years, with roles as a regulator, a waste facility operator and a consultant. Although he has spent the last 10 years in Western Australia, he also has experience in Victoria and New South Wales.
Adam brings a passion for improved resource efficiency to MRA’s business in WA. He is well known for his strong policy, engineering and management skills. He also brings skills in creating emotionally engaging communications for the waste industry. He sees the waste industry as a pivotal player in the creation of a circular economy.
Adam’s recent roles include Chief Executive Officer for the Western Metropolitan Regional Council (WMRC) and Director Waste Services for the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC). At the WMRC Adam worked hard to realise the DiCOM AWT plant. At the EMRC Adam developed the initial stages of the Hazelmere Resource Recovery Park and developed key infrastructure for the Red Hill Waste Management Facility. He was also heavily involved in understanding carbon accounting for landfills with the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme.
