Waste 2017The Waste 2017 conference has been and gone, running from 2-4 May at Opal Cove Resort in Coffs Harbour. It was an exceptionally well attended conference, attracting over 550 delegates from around Australia to three days of proceedings.

More than 75 exhibitors were there to display how they are advancing the waste industry, showing all manner of machinery and services. If the exhibitors are a gauge of the level of innovation in the Australian waste industry, then we are in safe hands.

MRA made a substantial impact, presenting in three of the 80+ sessions over the three days. On the first day, Virginia Brunton and Mike Ritchie presented in β€œAll about FOGO”, a workshop coordinated by WMAA. Mike Ritchie presented β€œIs it worth regulating the circular economy?” on the second day, and on the last day Adam Johnson presented β€œNational Litter round up: What’s working, what isn’t, and where do we go from here”.

This was, as always, an excellent conference.

As always, I welcome your feedback on this, or any other topic on β€˜The Tipping Point’.
